The Road Less Traveled

Sophie had always known that she wanted to be a doctor. Ever since she was a little girl, she had been fascinated by the human body and the mysteries of medicine. So when she started college, she immediately declared a pre-med major and dove headfirst into her studies.
One day, while sitting in a coffee shop, Sophie had an epiphany. She realized that she had been so focused on becoming a doctor that she had never stopped to consider whether it was really what she wanted. She thought about all the things she enjoyed doing outside of school – programming, arts, and spending time with family – and realized that none of them had anything to do with medicine.
With a heavy heart, Sophie made the difficult decision to change her major. She knew it would mean starting over would be a long and hard journey, but that it was the right thing to do.
Sophie explored different majors and tried to figure out what she was truly passionate about. She took classes in information science, computer science, and math. She began to feel a sense of purpose and direction that had been missing from her life for so long.
In her final semester of college, Sophie graduated with a degree in information science. It wasn’t what she had originally planned, but as she walked across the stage to receive her diploma, she felt a deep sense of pride and accomplishment. She had learned so much about herself during her journey through college, and she knew that whatever came next, she was ready for it.
